The Vibe Check was founded under one basic principle: empower artists to execute an uncompromising view of their creative vision. Our founder, Chris Chermak, was not happy with the way musicians have been historically treated by the major legacy labels. He believes that you can still make good money through making good music, and by taking better care of your artists.

Not everyone neatly fits into the mainstream mold that the majors are looking for. In fact very few people do. But that does not mean that those artists should stop making music. Their work has as much of a right to exist as the superstars in those popular genres. The artists that exist outside of this framework still make great music. In our opinion, they make even better music than what's considered to be the mainstream. That's why we want to work with them.

Whenever we want to work with a client, they maintain full creative control over their projects. Sure we will have our input and adjust things to better suit a commercial release, but we're not going to try and make you sound like somebody else. We wanted to work with YOU after all.

The key to longevity in this industry is just to make the kind of music that you personally like. Make music that you would listen to even if you didn't record it yourself. Through leveraging the power of the Internet, you now have the capability of connecting with your specific audience. With over half of the human population having access to the Internet, you will be able to find your people so long as you remain consistent and put yourself out there.

Our company is all about having fun with the music making process. The money always comes second for us. We're much more interested in helping you sound like the best version of yourself. You can make good music AND make money at the same time. You don't need to sacrifice who you are, sell your soul to the industry or remain a starving artist.
